Level 1 For students who are new to Iyengar yoga or want to review the basic poses. Emphasis is on standing poses to develop flexibility, strength, endurance, and stability. Seated, reclining and inverted poses are also included to relax the body and quiet the mind. Levels 1 - 2 For students who have attended Level 1 classes. Some Level 2 poses will be introduced. Level 2 For experienced students who are ready to refine the basic poses and to challenge themselves in forward bends, twists, balancings, backbends and inversions.
