Level 1 For students who are new to Iyengar yoga or want to review the basic poses. Emphasis is on standing poses to develop flexibility, strength, endurance, and stability. Seated, reclining and inverted poses are also included to relax the body and quiet the mind. Levels 1 - 2 For students who have attended Level 1 classes for at least three months. Some Level 2 poses will be introduced. Level 2 For experienced students who are ready to refine the basic poses and to challenge themselves in forward bends, twists, balancings, backbends and inversions. Level 3 This is our most advanced class and is for experienced students who are dedicated and mature in their practice and are ready to do advanced poses.
